YOUR ENQUIRY & PRIVACY

A personal reply. Thoughtful handling.

The information you share helps us shape an experience around your group. Here is how the enquiry process works.

Who is responsible

What you share

The enquiry form asks for your name, email, preferred experience, group size, session language and dates. We also record your request reference, submission and update times, request status and limited technical information to prevent duplicate submissions and misuse. No card payment is taken on this website.

Required and optional information

Fields marked as required are needed to process your tasting request. Practical notes and an alternative date are optional. If you prefer not to use the form, you can contact us by email. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

The wine newsletter

If you email us asking to join the wine newsletter, we use your email address to send those updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to an email. We do not add people to the newsletter because they enquired about a tasting.

Please keep sensitive details out of the form

Do not include medical information, identity documents or payment details in the notes. If you need to discuss food allergies, accessibility or other personal requirements, ask us to arrange a private conversation before booking. Share only what is necessary to establish whether we can accommodate your group.

Why we use your information

We use tasting enquiries to check availability, prepare a quotation and take steps towards a booking at your request. If you book, we use the relevant details to arrange and administer your experience. We handle general questions and corrections in our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence and maintaining an accurate guide. Limited technical information supports our legitimate interest in preventing duplicate submissions and misuse. Where records must be retained to comply with accounting or other legal obligations, that obligation is the basis for retaining them.

Who can see an enquiry

Enquiries are available to the academy team responsible for responding and arranging experiences. They do not appear in the public winery directory. We do not sell your enquiry details. If an experience requires another venue or service provider, we will explain the arrangement before sharing the details needed to deliver it.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information for as long as it is needed to answer your request and manage any resulting booking. Some records may need to be retained to meet accounting or other legal obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Retention depends on the purpose and the applicable obligations.

Your choices and rights

Contact us to request access to your information, correction or deletion. Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you may also ask to restrict processing, object to it or receive a portable copy. If processing relies on a separate consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity proportionately. We normally respond within one month; if the law permits an extension because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain it within that first month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Personal decisions

A member of the Academy reviews tasting requests and confirms arrangements personally. We do not use your enquiry to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Your language preference

When you choose a language, the website saves an awa-language preference cookie for up to one year so it can remember your choice. You can change the language at any time or remove the cookie in your browser. The academy has not added advertising or audience analytics cookies. Hosting and security services may use technical cookies needed to operate the site.
